Finally a positive Dr.'s visit!

Yeah! Kaeden's ears have finally cleared up! Dr. James said all the fluid in his ears has drained! As of Tuesday Kaeden now weighs exactly 20 pounds! Even at 20 pounds he is only in the 39th percentile..? That really surprised me! He is in the 80th percentile for his height. He had to get another Hepatitis B shot which has definitely made him really tired and cranky.
If you look at his picture he has an orangish nose. I asked the Dr. why in every picture his nose is orange. Dr. James said it is called Carotenemia. (Carotenemia is a clinical condition with yellow pigmentation of the skin associated with increased blood carotene levels.) Because most baby food has an orange/yellow tint, it is a very common thing for those colors to show up in the thickest skin such as your nose, palms of your hands and the bottom of your feet. Once a baby quits eating baby food this will go away within a couple of weeks! I thought this was very interesting!
